What Is TensorFlow?

TensorFlow is an end-to-end open source platform for machine learning. It has a comprehensive, flexible ecosystem of tools, libraries and community resources that lets researchers push the state-of-the-art in ML and developers easily build and deploy ML powered applications.

SparkFun Edge

In collaboration with Google and Ambiq, SparkFun’s Edge Development Board is based around the newest edge technology and is perfect for getting your feet wet with voice and even gesture recognition without relying on the distant services of other companies. The truly special feature is in the utilization of Ambiq Micro’s latest Apollo3 Blue microcontroller, whose ultra-efficient ARM Cortex-M4F 48MHz (with 96MHz burst mode) processor, is spec’d to run TensorFlow Lite using only 6uA/MHz. The SparkFun Edge board currently measures ~1.6mA@3V and 48MHz and can run solely on a CR2032 coin cell battery for up to 10 days. Apollo3 Blue sports all the cutting edge features expected of modern microcontrollers including six configurable I2C/SPI masters, two UARTs, one I2C/SPI slave, a 15-channel 14-bit ADC, and a dedicated Bluetooth processor that supports BLE5. On top of all that the Apollo3 Blue has 1MB of flash and 384KB of SRAM memory – plenty for the vast majority of applications.

Adafruit EdgeBadge

The EdgeBadge is a compact board – it’s credit card sized. It’s powered by the ATSAMD51, with 512KB of flash and 192KB of RAM. 2 MB of QSPI flash for file storage, handy for TensorFlow Lite files, images, fonts, sounds, or other assets.

Adafruit have added a PDM microphone on the front as an input for micro speech recognition. their Arduino library has some demos you can get started with to recognize various word pairs like “yes/no”, “up/down” and “cat/dog”. TensorFlow Lite for microcontrollers is very cutting-edge so expect to see a lot of development happening in this area, with lots of code and process changes.

ARDUINO NANO 33 BLE SENSE

This compact and reliable Nano board is built around the NINA B306 module for BLE and Bluetooth 5 communication; the module is based on Nordic nRF 52840 processor that contains a powerful Cortex M4F and the board has a rich set of sensors that allow the creation of innovative and highly interactive designs.

Its architecture, fully compatible with Arduino IDE Online and Offline, has a 9 axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), temperature, pressure, humidity, light, color and even gestures sensors and a microphone that are managed through our specialised libraries. Its reduced power consumption, compared to other same size boards, together with the Nano form factor opens up a wide range of applications.

This allows the design of wearable devices and gesture based projects that need to communicate to other devices at a close range. Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense is ideal for interactive automation projects thanks to the multiprotocol BT 5.0 radio.Dimensions: 45x18mm
